Westwood Guest Bath

The homeowners of this Westwood Houston home wanted to say goodbye to their 1950’s guest bathroom. The tiles were dark beige and brown and applied as a wainscot around the walls. The tub was cast iron and rusty. The bathroom had a pedestal sink and no storage. Lighting was poor.

A deep blue vanity adds needed storage space. The plumbing fixtures and hardware are brushed gold and against white contrast cool and warm giving an elegant feel to the room.

A new shower/tub combo was installed with white subway tile walls and two blue glass mosaic tile niches for shower items. The room features a Smart DXV toilet, a one-piece luxury toilet. Two aged brass sconces flank an oblong scalloped shaped mirror. The Valencia Mexican floor tile adds visual interest. A Panasonic automatic exhaust fan with humidity control was installed. A storage problem was solved with the addition of a linen closet and clothes hamper built into the wall.
